We've added new photos! See our history page. For over 35 years the Apartment Lounge has been a part of the gay and lesbian community in West Michigan. We are especially proud in conceiving Auction Against AIDS now entering its fifteenth year. Although we are no longer the sole organizer of that event we are proud to continue to host it every May to help raise funds for needy AIDS and related charities in West Michigan.Our location next to the Civic Theatre in downtown Grand Rapids has provided many community theatre patrons an interesting stop over after a great live theatre presentation. Also, with the Civics new major remodel this gem of the Grand Rapids cultural scene is not to be missed. For more information on the Civic Theatre go to their website.
